Kimberly Kosmenko joined the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) in 2008 as the organization’s first sustainability professional.  As Sustainability Program Manager, her current focus is the development of UCAR’s first Sustainability Management Plan (SMP), a data-driven business plan establishing sustainability goals, metrics and action steps that save money, support staff well-being, and contribute to organizational leadership in sustainability. In addition, Kimberly coordinates a range of ongoing sustainability programs and strategic communications. 

Prior to joining UCAR, Kimberly was involved in land restoration project management, community outreach communications, and environmental education.  Kimberly holds a masters degree in environmental science and policy from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a green building certificate from Colorado State University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional with specialty in Operations and Maintenance.
